    Health Benefits Of Drinking Garri

Since our Respectable President, Muhammadu Buhari became the president since 2015, things have not been moving well in our country, Nigeria.
Even garri which was a poor man's food in those times is now a big man food. A paint of garri is now going close to 1,000 naira. Where are we going in this Nigeria?

However, in this situation I have a good news to those who are still lucky in being able to drink garri. There are also health benefits of drinking garri of which I would let you know in this article.

    1)LOW FAT

Garri is a powdery cassava food that contains low fat. And also has high yield of protein more than its likes; potato, yam, etc. It has been known that drinking garri helps in fighting and preventing heart attacks, strokes, hypertention and any other celsic diseases.

    2)HIGH FIBER CONTENT

Garri is also known to contain high fiber which would help you get full quickly when drinking it. This reduces the risk of obesity. You would observe that whenever you are drinking garri or eating eba, you would get filled up quickly. This is because of the fiber content in the garri.

    ==>Reduces cholesterol and hypertention
==>Contains copper and magnesium which helps in normal nervous system fuction
==>Contains high yeild of vitamins and minerals.

    TIPS ON CONSUMING CASSAVA
Like any type of food, it is necessary that you
know what is in it before you start chewing it.
One thing you must know is that cassava, in its
    raw form, contains Cyanogenic Glucosides,
which is regarded as very toxic for the human
body. This is why you need to cook or roast
cassava before consuming it; because these
processes help neutralize the chemicals so it can
    be safe for human consumption.
You can boil cassava in water or roast it after
adding a little amount of olive oil. Northerners
have a delicacy of boiled cassava and salted
pepper we all have been used to, which is a
fantastic food. In the east, people boil peeled
cassava and eat it with coconut, which is by far
    the most delicious combination.

    Thanks for reading this article.
